Terms of Service

Siren Audio Stories ("Siren", "we", "us", or "our") provides an audio marketplace and streaming platform. By registering an account, uploading content, or listening to audio on Siren, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.

If you are entering into this Agreement on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to these terms and conditions. If you do not have such authority, or if you do not agree with these terms and conditions, you must not accept this Agreement and may not use the Service.

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

• You are responsible for safeguarding your password.
• You agree not to disclose your password to any third party.
• You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.
• Users must be at least 18 years of age to use Siren due to the nature of mature content hosted on the platform.

Anyone can publish free stories on Siren. To charge for stories, a creator subscribes to Siren Creator, which costs £4.99 a week. A creator's first subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. The subscription renews every week until cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time from Plan & Billing, in which case it ends at the end of the current week, or of the free trial.

Earnings from a sale become available for payout 7 days after the sale. A creator's first earnings become available 30 days after their first sale. Siren pays available balances every Friday by bank transfer, in pounds sterling, once the balance reaches £20.00. Smaller balances roll over to the next payout. If you close your account, we pay any remaining balance in full. You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your earnings.

If a subscription payment fails, your paid stories stay on sale while the payment is retried for up to 7 days. If your subscription ends, your paid stories are no longer offered for sale until you subscribe again. Buyers keep access to stories they have already bought, and earnings you have already made are still paid to you.

If a buyer is refunded, or their bank reverses a payment (a chargeback), the earnings from that sale are deducted from your balance, including from future earnings if they have already been paid out. Siren covers the payment processing and dispute fees.

Paid stories are sold by Siren. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any applicable VAT. Payment is taken securely by our payment provider, Stripe.

When you buy a story, you get immediate access to the full story, and it stays in your library. At checkout you ask for immediate access and acknowledge that, once you start listening, you lose your right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Because stories are digital content available straight away, we do not offer refunds once a story has been played, unless it is faulty or not as described. If something is wrong, contact us and we will help. If a purchase is refunded, access to that story ends.

Siren hosts a variety of audio content, including fantasy, roleplay, and mature themes. However, strictly illegal content is prohibited.

Prohibited Content Includes:

• Hate speech, harassment, or threats of violence.
• Non-consensual content or content depicting sexual violence.
• Content involving minors in any capacity.
• Copyrighted material that you do not hold the rights to.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these policies without prior notice and to suspend accounts of repeat offenders.

Creators retain full ownership of the content they upload to Siren. By uploading content, you grant Siren a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transfer, display, perform, and distribute your content on the Service.

This license is solely for the purpose of operating, developing, providing, and improving the Service. You may terminate this license by deleting your content from the Service.
